Timeless, classy and dapper, all perfect adjectives to describe a trench coat. Back in the day trench coats used to only be worn by military personnel. However, like many other trends the trench coat made its way into the closets of the general public. Now, in 2017 trench coats are a wardrobe must-have in every male (and females) fall/winter wardrobe. In this post I will talk about how I styled this trench coat. I picked up this olive green trench coat from Zara. This trench is from their F/W collection last year. Some features I love about this particular coat are the dropped shoulders and the removable hood. Of course, like all trench coats it's double breasted. The over-sized fit of this trench gives it a very high fashion but relaxed feel. Like I said above, there is something so timeless about a trench coat, no matter the style or fit, it will always be relevant. Because the coat has that military vibe the most full-proof way to style it is with a collared shirt. In the look above, I styled my trench coat with this over-sized button down also from ZARA. A feature I love about this shirt is the extended sleeves. Also, the vertical stripes it has gives a very vintage feel. For pants I chose these vintage cropped jeans, coincidentally from ZARA. I wanted to wear pants that I would show off my whole shoe and also compliment the look. Speaking of shoes, I'm wearing my new Fenty Puma strap creepers. The black patent leather design is perfect to go with almost any outfit. I wanted to finish the look off with a little bit of edge, so I accessorized the outfit with this silver body harness from ASOS.
