Unless you've been living under a rock, in a hole somewhere you know every one's favorite Barbadian Rihanna has been dominating everything she puts her hands on. Fenty recently dropped her first beauty line rightfully called "Fenty Beauty". The world literally stopped when the ad for the line dropped, as it was not only beautiful, but depicted models of basically every ethnicity. On the other hand ,Rihanna is no stranger to fashion. Not only is she almost always dressed in the latest releases from high end designers, but is also an all around trend setter. In 2016 she started her first ready-to-wear line in collaboration with Puma and the rest is basically history. Fenty x Puma is young, urban and fun, and I hate that I waited so long to jump on the Fenty Puma bandwagon.
Fenty University classes began Sept 28th, and I was in line with my credit card, ready to enroll. Up until now I had never really been "wowed" by Rihanna's creepers, mainly because I didn't feel the platform was high enough. But scrolling through Instagram one day, I saw that RiRi answered my fashion prayers with a new cleated creeper design. These creepers are one of my new favorite additions to my shoe collection. The shoe only comes in two colorways, golden brown and black. I chose the golden brown colorway because I wanted to add a unique color to my collection, that would also be easy to style with a lot of pieces. What makes the sneakers so different are the chunky stacked sole. The second cleated sole adds more height and drama to the platform. The upper is made of all suede, which is great for adding texture to any outfit. I was really inspired by the university style ads Puma created to promote this season of Fenty. I decided to style my own interpretation of that very school-esque vibe. For the most part this look is monochromatic tan tones. I styled my Fenty creepers with these navy and tan joggers from Zara. The double striped cuff on the bottom of these joggers really brings that varsity/school feel into the look. Polo style shirts are also another silhouette often seen in school, so I opted to pair this look with this tan zip up polo from TOPMAN. The zip up neck and boxy fit definitely makes this polo more fashion forward than the ones you may have worn in school. What else could top a school boy look off better than a pair of aviator style glasses?
