Hey my Fashion Newbs hope you guys are having an amazing start to an amazing week. Today's look is going to be a thrift shop look. I got most of these items from Goodwill. I love to thrift shop it honestly is the most inexpensive and liberating way to shop for "new to you" items. Thrift shopping proves that you don't have to spend $80 on one jacket, you can spend $5 and look just as put together as that other guy. Thrift shopping can be beneficial in so many ways. Whether you are on a budget, love vintage pieces, or you are just looking to kill some time, thrift shopping is the way to go. Thrift store's like Goodwill have name brand, great quality pieces, sometimes you just have to search a little harder. I have picked up many reputable designers like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Levi's and many more all for a fraction of the price it might have been 20 years ago.
In this look I definitely went for another vintage theme. I picked up this green bomber jacket about 6 months ago from Goodwill. This bomber jacket is an authentic military jacket. This was an awesome thrift shop find because military inspired pieces have been the craze for the past few seasons. The fit of this piece is one of my favorite attributes of this jacket. It fits kind of cropped in the midsection, it also has the classic pocket and zipper detailing most military clothing has. I went for a very simple and clean look, by adding this scoop neck, t-shirt from H&M. This shirt is one of my favorites, as it is a great layering piece for the winter, but also looks great on its own for the warmer months. The jeans in this look are from Goodwill, the brand is Levi's, and are yet another thrift shop find. These jeans have been my go to for the past couple of weeks. They are extremely comfortable, and i love the fit of them. Relaxed jeans have been everything to me lately. For my guys out there that are tall and have chicken legs like me, keeping your jeans slim but not to skinny will help keep your legs proportioned with your upper body. These jeans go perfect with the cropped bomber jacket because they sit higher on the waist. Just a styling tip, if you are going to wear a cropped jacket you want pants that come higher on the waist is your jacket doesn't look to small.
For shoes and accessories I kept them simple as usual. I put on another one of my recent favorites, these tan Chelsea boots from Urban Outfitters. These boots literally go with everything that I own. I need to buy more pairs before i wear these out!. Lastly. I styled this look with a white bandanna. Bandanna's have been really popular for the past couple of seasons. Whether is be around the neck, around your head, around your hat, a bandanna is a clean way to accessorize any outfit.
I hope you enjoyed this look. Share this with a friend!
